RescuePRO - RescuePRO is an easy-to-use application that recovers images, movies, sound files, documents, mail, videos, music and more. Recover data even if files were deleted, lost, corrupted or formatted. The wizard driven, user-friendly graphic interface makes it easy to recover your files with just a few mouse clicks.
This software is compatible with Memory Sticks, SmartMedia, CompactFlash, Floppy Disks, Palm Pilots, Windows CE devices, Digital Cameras and Camcorders, MP3 players, MMC, Microdrive, SD/SDHC, XD cards, PCMCIA, Video CD, DVD and most forms of digital media. The program works with any USB or FireWire Adaptor. Also features unique recovery algorithm for MPEG audio and MPEG video recovery (MPEG-1/2/3).
Simply insert your digital media into the reader, run the software and save the recovered files. There is no easier way to salvage those important files you thought were lost forever. The application then displays previews of the recoverable data.
Secure media wiping is also included for permanent deletion of data on your digital media. An imaging utility allows the creation of an image of your media for recovery at a later time. Advanced features include: now supports many high-end Digital Backs for SLR cameras, automatically saves the data as it is being scanned, supports media up to 16 GB and can run on Linux too.

I accidently over formatted my Sandisk Memory card, with my new DSLR.

For some reason the software wouldn't find the files when I was using the camera as an interface to the computer. When I used a card reader, it was able to find the files. I could then see them, but for some reason the size was very small. I couldn't enlarge the files without them becoming pixelated. The help lacked direction once the scan was complete. Were there other steps to take to fix the files and get them back to their original form?

A great piece of software that works even better than expected, lots of grateful clients who thought their photos were long gone.

Great product but unhappy that it only works on removable disks or cards, not on hard drives. I don't see why it can't do the same thing regardless the type of memory.

The software will install but your activation number does not. I have never had more trouble trying to install software before.

Used this software before as a "freebie". Lost as part of a reinstallation. Was good before - saved once in a lifetime shots from my daughters LA, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon trip after a failed card/camera. Used to help friends with problems.

It works great..tried to download from several sites and was unsuccessful, but kept trying..links did not work on some sites and I am not sure when I will get hit for a fee. But it sure does work. I had it on old coputer for a number of years. Just installed it on Windows 7 32bit..all is well

Initially, when I began using RescuePro, I was presented with several drives to chose from. I tried a couple but got message that no files were there. Finally, I noticed a drive with the model number of my camera. When I clicked on it, it began scanning. Took quite a long time, something like 30 minutes. I had an 8 GB memory card and I was scanning for videos of which I had about 8. I finally found the two I had accidentally erased, but then I couldn't figure out how to save it to my hard drive. Instructions mention 3 easy steps, but then it doesn't make clear what exactly the final step is to get the erased files back. I finally, after much thought, figured out that I could set up a file on my PC and drag the recovered files there. I'm very happy that I was able to get back my movies. If you could make your directions clearer for all the steps, that would be really helpful. Thanks!!!

I was trying to recover lost data files on a pcmcia card. Rescuepro got to about 85% and then just got hung up and would not go any further. Decided to abort the trial.

Should be free. Couldn't find my code when I needed it and as I only use numerous sandisk extreme cf cards this was a bit annoying. Should be able to detect a sandisk firmware or serial or something and recover fully in demo mode without paying as you obviously have paid for a genuine card. Just a thought.

I have used RescuePro several times from a disc that came with my memory card several years ago and it recovered without problems JPEG's and moviefiles from CF and SD cards. Lately I used it again, but it didn't work (probably because I use Vista now?). So I downloaded a demo from internet, and again it worked fine (664 from the 666 photo's were recovered! In the demo version I could even recover 250 MB of RAW files from my Nikon!

Excellent product. I used to recover family photos that were inadvertently deleted from the card when it was formatted before the last group of photos had been downloaded. It worked very well recovering not only the photos in question but several others we had forgotten about. Rescue Pro's ease of use and great effectiveness make it my first choice for file recovery from my SD and Compact Flash cards.

I would love to say something positive about Rescue Pro and the download was no problem - but I am still waiting for my activation code and can't use it! So from my point of view the service so far is not good!

I downloaded but couldn't use it as the the zip file required a password and since I've not got the origianl package and the # on the Sandisk Extreme didn't work I used another program called Recuva, which did what i wanted

It is not often that I accidently format a memory card. The first time the hard drive on my macbook failed. The last time was an accident. All my images and videos were successfully and easily recovered. RescuePro is simple to use and I recommend having it as a back up. Some images are not that easy to get, and some are impossible to repeat.

Cannot say a lot. I've had some pictures on a cam disc which I could not load in no picture viewer on my PC but see in the cams own viewer. Trial to save them with rescuepro which was advised in a forum did not help. However transfer from cam to PC with the cam's software (Canon) helped.

Program took several hours to scan 32gb SDHC card with broken primary partition, believed to contain video .MTS files. Program was unable to locate anything. Strongly suggest some user notice is provided that scan is in progress and better support for cards with partition issues that do not show up with a drive letter.

This program is offered for sale in some affiliation with SanDisk, and it should be given to SanDisk users for free. I had a SanDisk memory card that was "corrupted" for no reason, and was unable to salvage my pictures without purchasing this software. If SanDisk makes a program that can read the files from a SanDisk memory card, then the card must not be corrupted. SanDisk is making money from you buying their inferior product, then making you buy the software when that product doesn't work, even though the files are clearly all there and still intact. In other words the files are locked from use unless you buy this software, and you have no choice if you want to recover your photos. It's a shameful ripoff and I won't be spending any more money on SanDisk products.

Download of Rescue Pro Demo was successful, however completely useless to me as I was unable to actually use the retreived files as "demo version does not save or open" therefore rendering the download utterly USELESS and a complete waste of time! Thanks for nothing.

The product actually worked quite effectively. I just wish the version was actually "free" as advertised. Instead, it "freely" recovered the pictures but would not do anything worthwhile like "save" them unless I purchased the product. Needless to say, I felt duped.

programme for a crisis
RescuePro works wonders if you've accidentally formatted your SanDisk memory card without transferring the images to your computer first. However, the programme really needs to operate alone and needs considerable time to work its magic. It is worth it of course as the result is the rescue of the all important images which we create, and sometimes lose.
